About Me & My Approach

My name is Anita I am a qualified and highly experienced Counsellor.

I practice in the Person-Centred Approach meaning its non-directive counselling, and allows you to go at your own pace and discover/explore your individual thoughts/feelings.

I believe we are all unique individuals and have the ability to grow and develop and live a more empowered life.  I offer a warm empathic, non-judgemental setting, and I strive to have a genuine understanding of your requirements.

I previously worked at a Charity Counselling practice in Winchester.

I currently volunteer at Southampton Veterans Trust located within Cobbett Library, as a counsellor/counselling manager.

I am  a registered member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (MBACP) and adhere to their ethical principles, and follow their guidelines by having regular monthly supervision with a qualified supervisor to ensure best practice and to enhance my professional knowledge on a regular basis with Continual Personal Development.

I have completed additional training in  the following : Abuse, Self-harm, domestic violence, creative therapy, trauma & PTSD.
