About Me & My Approach
My name is Anita, and I am a qualified and highly experienced counsellor.
I practice using the Person-Centred Approach, which is non-directive, allowing you to explore your thoughts and feelings at your own pace. I believe we are all unique individuals with the ability to grow and develop, and I am committed to helping you live a more empowered life. I offer a warm, empathetic, and non-judgmental environment, and I strive to genuinely understand your needs.
Previously, I worked at a Charity Counselling practice in Winchester. Currently, I volunteer at the Southampton Veterans Trust, located within Cobbett Library, where I serve as a counsellor and counselling manager.
As a registered member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (MBACP), I adhere to their ethical principles and ensure best practice through regular monthly supervision with a qualified supervisor. I am also committed to continuous learning and development through ongoing professional training.
In addition to my core training, I have completed specialised courses in abuse, self-harm, domestic violence, creative therapy, trauma, and PTSD, couples counselling.
